About

Dr. Anita Herrera-Hamilton is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults with the following conditions:
  • learning disabilities,
  • gifted and/or atypical learning styles,
  • concussion, traumatic brain injury, and
  • other neurological or medical conditions affecting brain-behavior relationships.
Psychotherapeutically, Dr. Herrera-Hamilton works with:
  • athletes, coaches, parents, and professionals on mindful performance enhancement strategies within the academic, athletic, work and home settings.
  • BIPOC professionals and executives encountering intersectional bias in the workplace.

Dr. Herrera-Hamilton also holds a part-time appointment as Assistant Professor at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and the University of Southern California (USC), Keck School of Medicine.

For over 15 years, Dr. Herrera-Hamilton provided neuropsychological exams to multiple divisions at CHLA including: Neurology, Neurosurgery, Rehabilitation, Cardiology, Hematology-Oncology, Orthopaedics, and Pediatrics.

Currently, Dr. Herrera-Hamilton serves as a Board Member for state and national neuropsychological organizations including:
  • The American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN)
  • The Hispanic Neuropsychological Society (HNS)
  • The California Psychological Society (CPA), Division 8

With regards to training, Dr. Herrera-Hamilton completed an APA-accredited pediatric neuropsychology track internship at Children’s Hospital, Colorado, and a two-year APA-accredited postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles.
